VFW Post 2562 Auxiliary Officers

President's Message, May-June 2008

 Dear Ladies,
            The convention in Ocean City was a success.  We again took 1st place in Cancer Aid and Research, 2nd place for the Department Special Project (domestic violence) and 3rd place for Buddy Poppy.  Well done!  to all!  a great big "Thank You" to all who manned the hospitlity room!

            It's time for your 1009 dues and Marie has been sending reminders.  Help her by mailing your $20 checks early.

            Chaplain Barbara Foley would like to hear from members who know of anyone who is ill or in the hospital.  You can reach her at 301-681-8068.

            Mark your calendars--the Cancer Aid and Research Brunch (all you can eat) is 10/12/08 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.  This is an important fund raiser for us.  Please join us.

            The auxiliary will be offering catering services in conjunction with Hall Rentals.  I can be reached at 301-649-3266.

            Join us on July 4th and bring a dish to share around 4 p.m.  It's America's birthday--what a wonderful day to join our veterans and friends!  The Jukebox will be open.
